Headteacher Newsletter 2014 October Posted October 9, 2014 by School Office

Dear Parents & Carers,

What a fantastic Autumn term we are already having.

Some of the KS2 pupils have already been busy with a variety of sporting events and have taken up the challenge these have presented well. It is great to see so many pupils wanting to take part in these events and enjoying them so much. Keep up the brilliant attitude Stoborough!

In a previous newsletter I wrote about some of our upper Key Stage 2 pupils taking part in “real” Science led by the Environment Agency – Living with a Changing Coast (LiCCo) programme. The project started last term and an additional day’s science work was completed during September. I am delighted to let you all know that four of our pupils were chosen to support David Weatherby (scientist) at the Sandbanks Hotel where an International conference was held as part of a cross-channel project.

Millie, Emily, Maxwell and Frankie (all Y6) represented themselves and Stoborough brilliantly. Thank you to you all. I have received a special document from the Environment Agency showing the learning and teaching programme that the Y6s completed. This includes samples of their learning plus photographs of them in action. I feel very proud of all the Y6 pupils for being such brilliant scientists!

You are all a credit to our school.
