Purbeck Cup The Season So Far Posted December 16, 2013 by School Office

So far this season, Stoborough has had an unbeaten record in the Purbeck Cup football competition.

The first game was against Swanage Primary School. This was the best that the Stoborough Purbeck Cup Team has ever played, we came home with a brilliant 16-1 victory against a good side.

For our second match, we travelled to Wool St Mary’s. We had trouble finding our way through all the locked gates onto the pitch. When the game started, we played well as a team and won 9-0

Our third match was against Corfe Castle Primary School. We could see the distant Castle from the pitch. We wore our new white away kit, not knowing that Corfe had just bought a new white kit! They kindly wore bibs.

The match finished just before it got dark with a 9-0 Stoborough victory.

We’re looking forward to our two remaining Group matches after Christmas.

      Purbeck Tri-golf

Recently the children from Stoborough Primary School were invited to participate at this years Dorset School Games Tri Golf event at Purbeck Sports Centre.
A fun and exciting day was had by all and I am delighted to report that some of our children have qualified for the County Finals to be held at Bryanston School on Wednesday.

A big thank you to all that participated, you showed real determination and a will to learn and Miss Corbin will be delighted at how well you all represented Stoborough Primary School with your sporting spirit, good manners and encouragement towards one another and towards fellow children from other schools.
      Coach Ross
