Stoborough 4 – Langton Matravers 1 – Away

Match report by Joe Mitchell
Stoborough Primary School travelled to a breezy Langton Matravers to play their penultimate match of the group stage of the Purbeck Cup. Stoborough started the game very well with some outstanding passing play which resulted in a well worked goal. Yet again some more fabulous passing led to the second goal. The next two goals for Stoborough also had come from outstanding passing and well hit shots. Just before half time St George’s Langton scored from a corner and made the score 4-1 to Stoborough.

Stoborough started the second half positively and got an early goal to make the score 5-1. The next goal came from a great run down the wing, a fabulous low cross in and a simple tap in for Stoborough’s sixth goal of the match. A superb ball into the box saw the ball head to the back of the net. The next two goals were very well worked and made the score 9-1. The game saw some very
good passing moves and attacking breaks, overall a great game.
